NOVELTY - Preparing supported gold-lead (AuPd) bimetallic catalyst, comprises (1) adding sodium chloropalladate and chloroauric acid to the first part of deionized water to completely dissolve; (2) dissolving graphene oxide in the second part of deionized water to completely dissolve; (3) dropwise adding the graphene oxide aqueous solution obtained in step (2) to the dissolved material obtained in the step (1) to make them uniformly mixed; (4) adding sodium borohydride to the third part of deionized water to obtain a sodium borohydride solution; (5) heating and stirring the uniformly mixed solution obtained in step (3), then drop the sodium borohydride solution obtained in step (4), reacting, and then allowing to stand to obtain a reaction liquid; and (6) centrifuging the reaction solution, washing the precipitate with water, and then washing with alcohol to remove impurities to obtain supported gold-lead (AuPd) bimetallic catalyst. USE - The bimetallic catalyst is useful in catalytic coupling reaction (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The bimetallic catalyst: has high catalytic activity, high catalyst recycling rate, and low cost; has conversion rate of 75%, after 5 cycles of use of the catalyst, has selectivity of greater than 99%; and has good catalytic stability.
