NOVELTY - A copper foil (10) consists of copper plating layer with thickness of less than 5 mu m provided on surface of base material. The plating layer contains 20 vol.% or more of hydrogen. The 60 degrees glossiness of the rolling parallel direction and of the rolling right angle direction is 300% or more, after heating for 1 hour at 1000 degrees C in argon atmosphere. USE - Copper foil used for graphene manufacture (claimed). Uses include but are not limited to separator for fuel cells, transparent electrode, conductive thin film of display element, mercury-free fluorescent lamp, composite material, and carrier of drug delivery system. ADVANTAGE - The copper foil enables the production of graphene sheet having large area economically. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) manufacture of the copper foil, which involves forming copper plating layer on the surface of base material with current density of 1-5 A/dm2; and (2) manufacture of graphene (20), which involves supplying hydrogen gas and carbon containing gas to chamber in which copper foil is arranged, forming graphene in the surface of the copper plating layer, etching the copper foil and laminating a transfer sheet (30) on the surface of graphene to transfer the graphene on the transfer sheet.
