NOVELTY - Preparation of silica aerogel composite material, involves adding surfactant in a beaker, then adding methanol and acetic acid, adding dimethylformamide and the mixture of methyltrimethoxysilane and dimethoxydimethylsilane, hydrolyzing the mixture in a constant temperature magnetic mixer, adding alkali to adjust the pH value, placing the solution in a thermostatic water bath, until the solution is made to gel, and aging the gel, then adding ethanol solution and alkane respectively, and finally drying, to obtain silica aerogel composite material. USE - Preparation of silica aerogel composite material such as carbon fiber toughened silica aerogel composite material, graphene material toughened silica aerogel composite material and polyacrylonitrile fiber toughened silica aerogel composite material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The preparation process is simplified, and the aerogel composite material mechanical strength, heat resistance and reusability are excellent. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of silica aerogel composite material, involves weighing and adding surfactant in a beaker, then adding methanol and acetic acid at volume ratio of 1:3, along with stirring to dissolve the surfactant, adding dimethylformamide and the mixture of methyltrimethoxysilane and dimethoxydimethylsilane at volume ratio of 1:2, placing the mixture in a constant temperature magnetic mixer, and hydrolyzing at 30 degrees C, adding alkali to adjust the pH value, and stirring until alkali is mixed with solution, placing the solution in a thermostatic water bath, until the solution is made to gel, and aging the gel, then adding ethanol solution and alkane respectively, and finally drying, to obtain silica aerogel composite material.
