NOVELTY - A graphene nanoribbons-vertical-array molybdenum-carbide nanocrystalline composite material has base sheet comprising silicon chip, graphene nanoribbons vertical-array grown on base sheet and hexagonal molybdenum carbide nanocrystals on graphene nanoribbons. USE - Graphene nanoribbons-vertical-array molybdenum-carbide nanocrystalline composite material is used for catalytic hydrogen evolution and oxygen reduction catalysis applications (all claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of graphene nanoribbons-vertical-array molybdenum-carbide nanocrystalline composite material; and (2) application of graphene nanoribbons-vertical-array molybdenum-carbide nanocrystalline composite material for catalytic hydrogen evolution and oxygen reduction catalysis applications.
