▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Graphene fiber comprises a graphene film formed into an elongated fiber-like shape and having amine groups formed on at least an outer surface of the graphene film and epoxide groups formed on at least one edge of the graphene film. USE - The graphene fiber is useful for formation of composite materials, preferably carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite materials. Material is used for manufacture of aerospace structures and component parts such as aircraft ribs, spars, panels, fuselages, wings, wing boxes, fuel tanks, tail assemblies and other component parts of an aircraft. ADVANTAGE - The graphene fiber improves mechanical and/or electrical properties of composite structures without increasing weight or disturbing other desirable properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) a composite material comprising the graphene fiber and a matrix material; and (2) increasing strength of a composite material, comprising forming a graphene fiber, combining a resin matrix material with the graphene fibers to form a prepreg material, and curing the prepreg material to form the composite material.
