NOVELTY - Graphene is added to deionized water and ultrasonically-dispersed to obtain aqueous solution of graphene. A peroxide solution is poured into graphene solution, mechanically-stirred, and dried, to obtain graphene-coated powder. The obtained powder is mixed with ground diatomite, molded, pressed, heated and air-cooled to room temperature, to obtain conductive diatomite-graphene composite. USE - Preparation of conductive diatomite-graphene composite used for building material. ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently and economically provides environmentally-friendly conductive diatomite-graphene composite using simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Diatomite ore is sintered at 650 degrees C for 1 hour, and crushed to size of 20 mu m less. Graphene is added to deionized water and ultrasonically-dispersed for 5 hours, to obtain 0.1-1 mg/l aqueous solution of graphene. A peroxide solution is poured into the graphene solution, mechanically-stirred at 80 degrees C until obtaining sticky paste, and dried at 60 degrees C for 24 hours, to obtain graphene-coated powder. The obtained powder is mixed with diatomite, molded, pressed at room temperature in a vacuum furnace at pressure of 1x 104 Pa, heated to 850-870 degrees C at rate of 200 degrees C/hour or less, and air-cooled to room temperature when the temperature drops to 100 degrees C, to obtain conductive diatomite-graphene composite.
