▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Production of microwave-reduced graphene oxide involves providing graphene oxide, reducing graphene oxide to obtain reduced graphene oxide which allows microwaves to be absorbed by the reduced graphene oxide, and microwaving the reduced graphene oxide until microwave-reduced graphene oxide having an oxygen concentration of 5 atomic% or less is produced. USE - Production of microwave-reduced graphene oxide used in insulating matrices e.g. polymer matrices and ceramic matrices (all claimed) for energy and hydrogen storage device, flexible electronic device, and electrode for battery. Can also be used in graphene-based ink, catalyst support, mechanically-reinforced conductive coating and composites including films for electromagnetic interference shielding for aircraft. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and rapid, and efficiently produces high quality microwave-reduced graphene oxide with excellent properties such as optical properties, insulating properties, and structural properties by solution exfoliation. The reduced graphene oxide absorbs microwaves due to its increased conductivity as compared to graphene oxide. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for exfoliating intercalated graphite, which involves providing oxidized intercalated graphite, and microwaving the oxidized intercalated graphite to partially remove oxygen from the intercalated graphite to obtain exfoliated graphene oxide.
