NOVELTY - The modulator has a substrate formed with two silicon dioxide layers (1, 3) and a silicon layer (2). The silicon dioxide layers are covered on the silicon layer. A lower surface of a single or double-layered graphite layer (4) is fixed to the silicon dioxide layers. The graphite layer is fixed to an electrode (5). The silicon layer is fixed to another electrode (6). Two ends of a metal nano-wire (7) are respectively connected to the silicon dioxide layer and the graphite layer. The graphite layer is made of two-dimensional graphene material. The nano-wire is made of silver or gold material. USE - Two-dimensional (2D) graphene metal material nano-wire surface plasma modulator. ADVANTAGE - The modulator is simple in structure, small in size and easy to adjust a Fermi level, and has better surface plasma modulation effect, and increases carrier speed.
