NOVELTY - A slow-release sandalwood essential oil is prepared by adding 1-20 parts mass sandalwood essential oil with 100 parts mass oxidized graphene. USE - Slow-release sandalwood essential oil used for button paint such as UV-curable paint (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The wear resistance is excellent and service life time period is extended. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of slow-release sandalwood essential oil, which involves dispersing oxidized graphene in water and ultrasonically treating, and then adding sandalwood essential oil, and stirring the reaction, filtering the reaction solution and obtaining freeze-dried precipitation, to prepare sustained-release sandalwood essential oil; and (2) application of slow-release sandalwood essential oil, which involves adding slow-release sandalwood essential oil into commercially available button paint, stirring and dispersing uniformly to obtain button paint containing slow-release sandalwood essential oil.
