NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene involves preparing graphene oxide through Hummers method, uniformly dispersing it in water through ultrasonic dispersing for 15-45 minutes using ultrasonic power of 15-25 kHz to obtain 0.5-5 mg/ml stable brownish graphene oxide dispersion; and adding metal/tea polyphenol as reducing agent in graphene oxide dispersion at 20-80 degrees C for 0.5-8 hours to obtain a stable dispersion of graphene, followed by centrifugating and washing to remove excess of metal/tea polyphenol, depositing at 105 degrees C in an oven and drying to obtain the graphene. USE - For the preparation of graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The present method utilizes environment-friendly reducing agent and easily available raw materials; is simple, safe, and rapid; and provides graphene having good conductivity.
