NOVELTY - Preparing fluorescent graphene oxide quantum dots comprises (i) preparing aqueous dispersion of quantum dots of graphene oxide, where graphene oxide quantum dots having average particle size of 1.5-5.5 nm, and concentration of graphene oxide quantum dots in aqueous dispersion is 0.01-0.1 mg/ml, (ii) mixing aqueous dispersion of quantum dots of graphene oxide with alcohol or carbonyl-containing compound, and (iii) carrying out hydrothermally treatment of product obtained in step (ii) to obtain final product. USE - The method is useful for preparing fluorescent graphene oxide quantum dots (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The quantum dots exhibits different fluorescence property, and controls the fluorescence performance of quantum dots of graphene.
