▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The modulator has a terahertz optical fiber for transmitting a terahertz wave, where a side edge of the terahertz optical fiber is provided with a polishing area. A terahertz optical fiber surface of the polishing area is formed as a D-shaped structure. The polishing area is provided with a light modulation structure and a meta-material with micro-nanostructure, where the meta-material comprises grapheme. The light modulation structure is formed as a grapheme meta-material structure. The meta-material i.e. metal material or semiconductor material, where thickness of the meta-material is about 10-100 nm. The terahertz optical fiber is made of cyclo-olefin polymer material. USE - Light-controlled terahertz optical fiber modulator for use in electronic, communication, aerospace research fields and biological living body detection. ADVANTAGE - The modulator utilizes a side edge polishing terahertz optical fiber structure, so as to effectively reduce loss of tera hertz wave in a free space, thus increasing graphene and tera-hertz wave evanescent field of the contact and improving modulation efficiency. The modulator utilizes the graphene as modulation medium substance, so as to effectively improve modulation characteristic of the tera-hertz modulator. The modulator has high resonance factor, and can realize resonance enhancement to make interaction of the meta-material and ter-thermal light, so as to improve modulation efficiency by changing wavelength and/or power of a pump light. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for realizing light amplitude modulation of a light-controlled terahertz optical fibre modulator.
