NOVELTY - Negative electrode material comprises silicon-based substrate and titanium-based compound coating layer coated on the surface of the silicon-based substrate, where the titanium-based compound coating layer is doped with graphene and graphite-like structure. USE - Negative electrode material useful in lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method reduces the side reaction of the negative electrode material and the electrolyte at high temperature, uses titanium-based compound having excellent thermal stability, which greatly improves high-temperature stability, conductivity, increases first coulombic efficiency and first discharge capacity of negative electrode material, reduces the resistance of the negative electrode material of the lithium ion battery and the heat generation during charging and discharging, and improves the high temperature storage performance of the negative electrode material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing a negative electrode material, involving uniformly mixing graphene, titanium source and organic solvent to obtain a dispersion, adding silicon-based substrate to the dispersion liquid, thoroughly mixing, and performing drying treatment to obtain a dried powder, heating the dried powder to 600-1200 degrees C in a reducing atmosphere, and sintering to obtain the product.
