▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - An edge functionalized graphene is prepared by (a) obtaining graphite platelets; (b) dispersing graphite platelets in polar solvent in presence of metal salt to obtain exfoliated graphite sheet solution by sonication; (c) contacting exfoliated graphite sheet solution with mineral acid followed by peroxide to obtain mixture having edge functionalized graphene; and (d) dispersing mixture in organic solvent and separating dispersed particles to obtain edge functionalized graphene. USE - Preparation of edge functionalized graphene. ADVANTAGE - Edge functionalized graphene is produced at a high yield using a simple approach of Fenton's reagent chemistry. Basal plane configuration of graphite is preserved without causing lattice defect. Structural integrity, and optical, electrical and mechanical properties of graphite are preserved.
