NOVELTY - A foaming grade fully degradable polylactic acid comprises 88-99.7 wt.% polylactic acid, 0.10-2 wt.% organic peroxide, 0.10-5 wt.% multifunctional additive, and 0.10-5 wt.% nucleating agent. USE - Foaming grade fully degradable polylactic acid. ADVANTAGE - The foaming grade fully degradable polylactic acid: is environmentally-friendly; meets the process requirement of continuous extrusion foaming, high-temperature reaction kettle foaming, molded foaming and injection foaming; has excellent foaming property and heat resistance; and adopts multifunctional additive, which has excellent branching promotion effect, cell nucleation effect, lubrication effect and demolding effect, and improves melt strength, crystallinity and processability of polylactic acid, and the appearance and fine glossiness of the final product. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the foaming grade fully degradable polylactic acid, which involves: (1) drying polylactic acid and nucleating agent at 100-120 degrees C for 60-120 minutes, and cooling to 10-30 degrees C; (2) uniformly mixing organic peroxide, multifunctional additive, polylactic acid and nucleating agent to obtain a mixture; and (3) melting and extruding the mixture with a twin-screw extruder, and pelletizing the resulting material.
