NOVELTY - Graphene strip comprises a flat carbon nano-tube, an oxidizing acid and a oxidizing acid salt as raw materials. The graphene strip is prepared by pre-oxidizing the flat carbon nano-tube in the oxidizing acid according to the weight ratio, then taking the oxidizing acid salt as an oxidizer for oxidizing and cutting the carbon nano-tube, hydrolyzing the product, removing the byproducts and the unreacted oxidizer by using hydrogen peroxide, separately washing the product with diluted hydrochloric acid, ethanol and water, and then drying. USE - The graphene strip is useful in the fields of e.g. composite materials, electrically and thermally conductive materials, sensors, electronic circuits and micro-nano-devices. ADVANTAGE - The graphene strip: is even and regular, and has narrow width, even layer number, and ordered edges. The preparation method: is simple and convenient; can be easily realized and controlled; can perform oriented cutting under a wider temperature range and various oxidizing conditions; and ensures large scale production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Graphene strip comprises a flat carbon nano-tube, an oxidizing acid and a oxidizing acid salt as raw materials, where the weight ratio of the flat carbon nano-tube to the oxidizing acid is (1:3)-(1:2000), and the weight ratio of the flat carbon nano-tube to the oxidizing acid salt is (1:2)-(1:15). The graphene strip is prepared by pre-oxidizing the flat carbon nano-tube in the oxidizing acid according to the weight ratio, then taking the oxidizing acid salt as an oxidizer for oxidizing and cutting the carbon nano-tube, hydrolyzing the product, removing the byproducts and the unreacted oxidizer by using hydrogen peroxide, separately washing the product with diluted hydrochloric acid, ethanol and water, and then drying. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the graphene strip by oxidizing the flat carbon nano-tube by using the acid, comprising (i) adding measured flat carbon nano-tube into the oxidizing acid at 10-90 degrees C, stirring for 10-60 minutes for pre-oxidizing the carbon nano-tube, and separating the carbon nano-tube beam, (ii) adding the carbon nano-tube beam into the oxidizer at 10-90 degrees C for 30 minutes to 4 hours for oxidizing and cutting the carbon nano-tube wall, (iii) adding into de-ionized water, stirring for 20-40 minutes for hydrolyzing the carbon nano-tube, (iv) adding into hydrogen peroxide for purifying, stirring for removing the byproducts and the unreacted oxidizer, and (v) centrifugally treating for 5-30 minutes at 5000-20000 revolutions/minute, separately washing the product with diluted hydrochloric acid, alcohol and de-ionized water, centrifugally treating the product for two times, collecting the product at the bottom part of the centrifugal tube, and drying at 40-80 degrees C to obtain the graphene strip product.
