NOVELTY - A graphene-loaded copper oxide composite material has single-layered graphene sheet as base frame, and copper oxide sheet grown on two sides of graphene sheet. The copper oxide sheet has width of 200 nm and length of 500-600 nm. The graphene has plane size of 1-100 mu m and thickness of 1-20 nm. USE - Graphene-loaded copper oxide composite material is used as supercapacitor electrode material. ADVANTAGE - The supercapacitor electrode material obtained by the graphene-loaded copper oxide composite material has high capacity and cycling characteristics. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for hydrothermal synthesis of graphene-loaded copper oxide composite material, which involves preparing graphene oxide precursor, preburning the obtained precursor at 200-500 degrees C for 2-6 hours under protection of inert atmosphere, obtaining precursor powder, dissolving the obtained precursor powder into deionized water, adding water-soluble copper salt, carrying out ultrasonic treatment, stirring, slowly dripping 0.3 M of water-soluble ammonium salt, adjusting the pH value of the resultant solution to 7-10, stirring for 0.5 hours, placing the resultant solution in a reactor, heating at 80-120 degrees C for 2-20 hours, centrifuging, washing the resultant material by alcohol for three times, and then washing with water for three times.
