NOVELTY - A sulfur-activated carbon/graphene composite material consists of sulfur supported on activated carbon/graphene composites or within the material. The sulfur-activated carbon/graphene composite material has 10-90 %mass sulfur and 10-90 %mass activated carbon/graphene composite. The sulfur is adsorbed or bonded to graphene and/or activated carbon in the form of atomic clusters. USE - Sulfur-activated carbon/graphene composite material used in lithium-sulfur battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sulfur-activated carbon/graphene composite material has high conductivity and specific capacity. The lithium-sulfur battery using sulfur-activated carbon/graphene composite material is lightweight. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of sulfur-activated carbon/graphene composite material; and (2) use of sulfur-activated carbon/graphene composite material in lithium-sulfur battery. The lithium-sulfur battery contains sulfur-activated carbon/graphene composite material as cathode material, and graphene/lithium or metal lithium as negative electrode, and has Coulomb efficiency of 99% or more.
