NOVELTY - Pre-oxidized black lead is stirred, mixed solution of concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate is added, stirred, diluted using deionized water, peroxide solution is added and washed, to obtain oxidized black lead. The obtained oxidized black lead is prepared into solution and processed, to obtain uniformly dispersed single layer oxidized graphene sample solution. The oxidized graphene is concentrated, subjected to suspension and heavy metal ion is absorbed using oxidized graphene sample. USE - Method of removing heavy metal ion in water used for water purification. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and environmentally-friendly provides water with recycle ability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Natural black lead is uniformly mixed with concentrated sulfuric acid, potassium peroxydisulfate and phosphorus pentoxide at 80 degrees C, reacted for 4.5 hours and cooled. The resultant product is diluted with deionized water, stewed overnight and filtered, to obtain cellulose acetate film having thickness of 0.2 mu m. The obtained film is washed with water and stewed overnight. The pre-oxidized black lead is stirred, mixed solution of concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate is added and stirred at 35 degrees C. The resultant product is diluted using deionized water, continuously stirred, peroxide solution is added, filtered, washed using hydrochloric acid solution, to remove metal ion, washed with deionized water, to remove excess amount of acid and washed several times with water, to obtain oxidized black lead. The obtained oxidized black lead is prepared into solution having concentration of 1 mg/ml and ultrasonically processed in an ultrasonic machine, to obtain uniformly dispersed single layer oxidized graphene sample solution. The obtained oxidized graphene is stored in gel or solid material. Oxidized graphene (0.5-2 mg/ml) is added to copper chloride, lead nitrate or chromium nitrate (100-200 mmol/L), mixed, uniformly shaken and stewed. The oxidized graphene is concentrated, subjected to suspension and heavy metal ion is absorbed using oxidized graphene sample.
