NOVELTY - Molten salt electrolyte, is new. The electrolyte comprises molten salts of general formula (I). USE - The molten salt electrolyte is useful in a fast-charging aluminum-sulfur battery, which is used in power grid frequency modulation peak, solar power station, wind power station, reserve power supply, smart piconet, communication base station and new energy electric vehicle (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrolyte improves the inorderness and asymmetry of the molten salt electrolyte, reduces the cut-off key energy barrier of the aluminum-halogen covalent bond, realizes the fast reaction kinetics of the electrolyte so as to realize the high capacity and fast charging performance of the aluminium- sulfur battery, and has low melting point, high ion conductivity, non-combustible and high safety. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Molten salt electrolyte, is new. The electrolyte comprises molten salts of general formula AaAlXb (I), where, A = calcium, magnesium, lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, and cesium; X = two different halogen elements; a = 0.1-1; and b = 3.1-4. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: a method for preparing molten salt electrolyte; a fast charging aluminum-sulfur battery, comprising a anode, a negative electrode set between the anode and the said negative electrode, and the molten salt electrolyte, where the molten salt electrolyte is a liquid and soakage the anode, the diaphragm and the negative electrode, preferably, the working temperature of the fast charging aluminum-sulfur battery is 110-400℃; and an energy storage device comprising the fast charging aluminum sulfur battery.
