▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Nanocomposite (Ag-ZnFe2O4-rGO) photocatalyst comprises reduced graphene oxide (rGO), and zinc ferrite nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles attached to the rGO. The silver nanoparticles have average diameter of 30-40 nm. The nanocomposite photocatalyst comprises 55-65 wt.% zinc ferrite nanoparticles, 20-30 wt.% silver nanoparticles and 10-20 wt.% reduced graphene oxide. USE - Used as nanocomposite photocatalyst. ADVANTAGE - The photocatalyst has excellent synergy effect between nanoparticles, induces better absorption UV light and visible light by increasing surface area of catalyst, prevents recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs, and exhibits high photocatalytic activity against decomposition of dyes. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for producing nanocomposite (Ag-ZnFe2O4-rGO) photocatalyst, comprising (a) preparing first mixed solution by dissolving iron precursor and zinc precursor in deionized water, (b) dispersing the oxidized graphene in deionized water and performing ultrasonic treatment to prepare graphene oxidized (GO) dispersion, (c) adding the first mixed solution into GO dispersion and stirring to prepare second mixed solution, (d) adding silver precursor into the second mixed solution, and stirring to prepare third mixed solution, (e) adding reducing agent into the third mixed solution, and stirring to prepare suspension, (f) irradiating the suspension using a microwave at 50-400 W, heating at 60-150 degrees C, maintaining temperature for 3-20 minutes, cooling to room temperature, centrifuging, and collecting nanocomposite comprising zinc ferrite nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles attached to rGO, and (g) washing the collected nanocomposite, and vacuum drying to prepare a nanocomposite photocatalyst comprising zinc ferrite nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles attached to rGO.
