NOVELTY - The filter has a hybrid micro-ring that is provided with a hybrid waveguide (11) and a pure silicon waveguide (12). A lower electrode is distributed on a silicon layer. An upper electrode and the lower electrode are connected to an external power source. The concentration of carriers in an atomic layer is changed and the refractive index of the graphene material is changed by applying a voltage between the upper electrode and lower electrode, so that an output resonant wavelength of the tunable silicon-based micro-ring filter portion is changed to achieve tunable filtering. USE - Tunable silicon-based micro-ring filter. ADVANTAGE - The refractive index of the material is changed greatly due to the use of graphene under the additional voltage condition. The beneficial effect of tuning the outgoing wavelength of the micro-ring filter in a large range is obtained.
