NOVELTY - Preparation of heteropoly acid/graphene oxide compound comprises mixing sodium metasilicate with distilled water, mixing sodium tungstate with boiling water, stirring, slowly adding 3-5 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution, stirring, adding first mixed liquid, slowly adding 5-7 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution, boiling for 0.8-1.2 hours, cooling to room temperature, adding solid potassium chloride, stir-reacting, filtering, and washing; and dissolving heteropoly acid in distilled water, dissolving graphene oxide into deionized water, mixing prepared solutions, sonicating, stirring, and drying. USE - Method for preparing heteropoly acid/ graphene oxide compound used for treating industrial dye waste water (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The compound has improved surface area and catalytic performance and good repeatability and recyclability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of heteropoly acid/graphene oxide compound comprises mixing sodium metasilicate with distilled water at ratio of 8-15 g:200 mL, mixing sodium tungstate with boiling water, stirring, slowly adding 3-5 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution, stirring, adding first mixed liquid, slowly adding 5-7 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution until pH of 5-6, boiling for 0.8-1.2 hours, cooling to room temperature, adding solid potassium chloride, stir-reacting for 15-30 minutes, filtering, and washing, where solid-liquid ratio of sodium tungstate to boiling water is 2 g:3 mL, ratio of sodium tungstate and 3-5 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution of 25 g:15-25 mL, sodium tungstate and 5-7 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution is 25 g:2-6 mL, and ratio of sodium tungstate and potassium chloride is 2-6:1; and dissolving heteropoly acid in distilled water, dissolving graphene oxide into deionized water, mixing prepared solutions, sonicating for 0.3-0.8 hour, stirring for 18-24 hours, and drying, where mass ratio of heteropoly acid and graphene oxide is 10-90:1.
