NOVELTY - Preparation of millimeter-scale sp3 amorphous carbon bulk material involves putting a carbon 60 powder at 450-1100degrees Celsius, preferably 1000degrees Celsius, and a pressure of 20-37 GPa, preferably 276Pa, and performing high-temperature and high pressure treatment. USE - Preparation of millimeter-scale sp3 amorphous carbon bulk material (claimed) used for forming sp3 graphite, graphene, carbon nano tube, sp3 diamond and V carbon. ADVANTAGE - The method provides a semi-transparent or transparent or transparent millimeter sp3 amorphous carbon block material having ultra-high hardness, high thermal conductivity, adjustable band 1.90-2.79eV, and the band gap exceeds the amorphously silicon, germanium band gap range. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the amorphous carbon block material.
