NOVELTY - A graphene nano-ribbon has a zigzag-type edge structure in both ends of width direction, and in which one edge portion of both ends comprises methyl group and boron, and other edge portion of both ends comprises methyl group and nitrogen, or nitrogen. USE - Graphene nano-ribbon is used in device (claimed) e.g. magnetoresistive device. Can also be used for transistor, wiring material, electrode material and thermal radiation material. ADVANTAGE - The graphene nano-ribbon has desired half-metallic property. The device provided with graphene nano-ribbon has high reliability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for device, which comprises the graphene nano-ribbon, electrodes (e1) and (e2) provided in both sides of the length direction of the graphene nano-ribbon, and a mechanism which applies magnetic field or electric field.
