▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Catalyst comprises active components and a carrier. The active component includes gallium, silver, indium, tin, bismuth and/or iridium elements. The carrier includes activated carbon, carbon black, graphene, carbon nanotubes, cerium (IV) oxide, titanium dioxide, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, vanadium oxide, silicon dioxide, niobium pentoxide, tantalum oxide, yttrium oxide, hydrotalcite, mordenite and/or magnesium aluminate spinel. The carrier includes aluminum oxide, vanadium oxide, niobium pentoxide, tantalum oxide, yttrium oxide, and/or magnesium aluminate spinel. USE - The catalyst is useful for polyol oxidation. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and low in energy consumption, and has high selectivity to glycolic acid. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) a preparation method of the catalyst of polyol oxidation comprising mixing the soluble salt solution containing the active component with the carrier to obtain a mixture A, drying mixture A, roasting, reducing to obtain a catalyst, where before the mixture A, stirring and evaporating to a paste at a temperature of 50-65degrees Celsius; and (2) a method for preparing glycolic acid by polyol oxidation comprising carrying out oxidation reaction of polyol and oxidizing agent to obtain glycolic acid under the effect of the catalyst, where the reaction temperature is 25-50degrees Celsius, and the polyhydric alcohol includes glycerol.
