NOVELTY - A low-smoke high-impact nano-polystyrene resin composition comprises 100 parts mass high-impact polystyrene resin, 20-30 parts mass macromolecular nitrogen-halogen flame retardant, 10-20 parts mass functionalized nano-smoke suppressant, 0.1-0.5 part mass stabilizer and 0.1-0.5 part mass antioxidant. The functionalized nano-smoke suppressant is core-shell structure substance containing smoke suppressant as core and solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene slurry as shell. The macromolecular nitrogen-halogen flame retardant is polyamide compound (I). USE - Low-smoke high-impact nano-polystyrene resin composition. ADVANTAGE - The low-smoke nano-polystyrene resin composition has high dispersion, excellent flame retardance, high impact strength and durability, and provides high-impact polystyrene resin with maximum smoke density of less than 90, oxygen index of more than 46%, and notched izod impact strength of more than 12 kJ/m2. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the low-smoke high-impact nano-polystyrene resin composition, which involves adding high-impact polystyrene resin, macromolecular nitrogen-halogen flame retardant, functionalized nano-smoke suppressant, stabilizer and antioxidant to high-speed mixer for 5-10 minutes to obtain mixture, feeding into screw kneader, reacting at 160-200degrees Celsius, cooling and grinding.
