NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene oxide based photocatalyst with visible light response comprises preparing graphene oxide suspension by ultrasonic treatment after dissolving graphene oxide in absolute ethanol solution, adding glacial acetic acid to suspension to adjust pH, adding tetrabutyl titanate, mixing, adding mixed solution and lanthanum nitrate to graphene oxide suspension, mixing to obtain lanthanum-graphene oxide-titanium dioxide sol, aging lanthanum-graphene oxide-titanium dioxide sol to gel state, drying, grinding and calcining. The mixed solution is absolute ethanol, glacial acetic acid and/or ultra-pure water. USE - The method is for preparation of graphene oxide based photocatalyst with visible light response. ADVANTAGE - The photocatalyst has good visible light photocatalytic activity and improves absorption and utilization of visible light.
