NOVELTY - A self-healing asphalt material comprises 0.1-10 %mass carbon nanotubes, 0.1-10 %mass graphene, 1-30 %mass rubber powder and 70-95 %mass base pitch. USE - Self-healing asphalt material for road. ADVANTAGE - Since the self-healing asphalt material is modified with carbon nanotubes/graphene/rubber, the self-healing performance of the asphalt material is increased, and the internal micro-cracks of the asphalt material are repaired in short time under the action of microwave or inductance. The hybridization of carbon nanotubes and graphene has synergistic improvement effect on electrical conductivity of the material, and the thermal healing of pitch is quickly achieved through electric and magnetic heat generation technologies, and since carbon nanotubes, graphene and rubber have modified effect on base asphalt, the road performance of the asphalt material is improved. Since polymer rubber powder is utilized from waste rubber tires, enhanced environmentally-friendly effect is ensured and the application prospects are increased. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) method for preparing self-healing asphalt material, which involves (a1) adding carbon nanotubes and graphene to molten pitch and stirring manually until carbon nanotubes and graphene completely enter the matrix, (a2) carrying out high-speed shearing method for dispersing carbon nanotubes and graphene, so that carbon nanotubes and graphene are fully dispersed in the pitch, (a3) adding molten rubber to mixture obtained in step (2), mechanically stirring, and heating at constant temperature during mixing process; and (2) a self-healing method of self-healing asphalt material, which involves heating self-healing asphalt material by electric heating method or microwave heating method to repair internal micro-cracks, when the self-healing asphalt material forms local micro-cracks due to aging cracking or fatigue cracking.
