NOVELTY - Preparing cadmium indium sulfide (CdIn2S4) composite carbon aerogel photocatalyst, involves (a) hydrothermally heating the aqueous solutions of Cd precursor, indium precursor and sulfur precursor at 170.0-220.0℃ for 18.0-22.0 hours, washing, drying to obtain CdIn2S4 powder, where the concentration of the Cd precursor in the aqueous solution is 0.03 mol/L, and the concentration of indium precursor in the aqueous solution is 0.04-0.2 mol/L, the concentration of the S precursor in the aqueous solution is 0.09 mol/L, (b) dispersing the CdIn2S4 powder and graphene oxide into deionized water to form a mixed dispersion liquid, where ratio of the CdIn2S4 powder, graphene oxide, deionized water is 100 mg: 25-200 mg: 50 mL, (c) dissolving sodium alginate in the mixed dispersion to form a mixed solution, where mass ratio of sodium alginate to CdIn2S4 powder is 1: 1, (d) freeze-drying the mixed solution. USE - Method for preparing cadmium indium sulfide composite carbon aerogel photocatalyst used in photocatalytic production of xylonic acid (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method uses the CdIn2S4 composite carbon aerogel photocatalyst to photocatalyze the oxidation of xylose to successfully prepare xylose acid. The preparation method is safe, effective and low in energy consumption, has high yield of xylonic acid, easy to realize industrial production, and also has broad application prospects.
