▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - The device has a surface layer arranged on a portion, where the surface layer comprises a set of extending units that mechanically interact with microbiota to disable the microbiota. The surface layer comprises graphene or of a graphitic material other than graphene, where the extending unit comprise edges which are configured to interact with a membrane of a cell of the microbiota. The surface layer comprises interactive chemical groups to interact with therapeutic molecules or therapeutic nanoparticles, where the implantable mesh device comprises a polymeric material. The surface layer is formed through direct or indirect carbonization to form the surface layer on a portion of the polymeric material. USE - Implantable mesh device e.g. hernia mesh and urogynecologic mesh (claimed), for use in a healthcare system. ADVANTAGE - The device reduces the risk of infection, and improves the quality of life of the patient. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for fabricating an implantable mesh device.
