NOVELTY - The lead-acid storage battery comprises lead paste, sheet-shaped current collector, battery groove or shell, electrode reaction chamber, and electric conductor outside the electrode reaction chamber. The lead paste is contacted with the sheet-shaped current collector, forming electrode, and located in electrode reaction chamber surrounded by battery groove or shell. The surface of sheet-shaped current collector not contacting with the lead paste is completely or partially combined with the battery groove or the shell. A bonding area is generated by surface of sheet-shaped current collector. A portion of area of sheet-shaped current collector surface isolation region is isolated from electrode reaction chamber space. A combination comprises sheet-shaped current collector that is not contacted with lead paste surface. An outer side of electrode reaction chamber is electrically connected with sheet-shaped current collector in surface isolation region of sheet current collector. USE - Used as lead-acid storage battery. ADVANTAGE - The thickness of the current collector is reduced. The active material utilization rate of the battery is improved. The battery internal resistance is reduced so as to improve the battery specific energy. The large current charging and discharging capability is enhanced. The lead material dosage is reduced. The cost of the lead-acid storage battery is reduced. The lead-acid storage battery is more environment-friendly. The service life of the battery is improved.
