NOVELTY - A composite fiber (10) comprises metal carbide-containing fibers (2) comprising metal carbide as main component, graphene layer (3) formed on at least a portion of the metal carbide-containing fiber and comprising graphene, and carbon fiber material layer (4) formed on the metal carbide-containing fiber from end (21) to end (22) and on the graphene layer and comprising carbon fiber material. USE - Composite fiber used as medium for electrical conduction and heat conduction. Uses include but are not limited to conducting wires of transformers and motors, power transmission lines, wiring boards, heat radiating boards, and wire rods. ADVANTAGE - The composite fiber has improved current density, and high heat resistance. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a schematic sectional view of the structure of a composite fiber.
