NOVELTY - A method for preparing styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer/graphene nanocomposite involves (S1) dissolving a certain amount of graphene oxide powder in solvent by ultrasonic treatment, adding to styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer solution, stirring for a certain period of time, and using hydrazine hydrate for reduction treatment to obtain a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer/graphene nanocomposite suspension, and (S2) settling the styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer/graphene nanocomposite suspension in methanol, filtering, and vacuum drying to obtain the styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer/graphene nanocomposite. USE - The method is useful for preparing styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer/graphene nanocomposite (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The addition of graphene significantly enhances the mechanical properties of styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer, has significant impact on the dynamic mechanical properties of styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer, and significantly improves the creep resistance of styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer.
