NOVELTY - Method for preparing modified graphene aerogel, involves (a) producing a mixed solution containing graphene oxide, surfactant, and reducing agent, (b) foaming the mixed solution to obtain a graphene hydrogel, (c) reacting the graphene hydrogel in the presence of a monohydric alcohol and a weak basic catalyst to obtain a modified graphene hydrogel, and (d) freezing the modified graphene hydrogel, and thawing to obtain the aerogel. USE - The method is useful for preparing modified graphene aerogel. ADVANTAGE - The prepared modified graphene aerogel has excellent hydrophobicity.
