NOVELTY - The preparation method of rare earth surface modified graphene involves (i) mixing concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid to obtain mixed acid solution (A), (ii) adding graphene to mixed acid solution (A), surface roughening, soaking, repeatedly centrifuging, filtering, washing, and drying to obtain surface-roughened graphene, (iii) preliminarily preparing rare earth nitrate solution (B), dripping alkaline solution, adjusting the pH to weakly alkaline, (iv) adding surface-roughened graphene to rare earth nitrate solution (B), stirring, filtering, and drying. USE - Preparation of rare earth surface modified graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables the preparation of rare earth surface modified graphene easily by simple process, without introducing impurities. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation method of rare earth surface modified graphene involves (i) mixing concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid in a ratio of 1:1-1:3 to obtain 10-20 ml mixed acid solution (A), (ii) adding 1-1.3 g graphene to mixed acid solution (A), surface roughening, soaking for 1-3 hours, repeatedly centrifuging, filtering, washing with deionized water for several times until pH is neutral, and drying to obtain surface-roughened graphene, (iii) preliminarily preparing 90-110 ml 0.05-0.1 mol/l rare earth nitrate solution (B), dripping alkaline solution, adjusting the pH to weakly alkaline, (iv) adding 1-2 g surface-roughened graphene to rare earth nitrate solution (B), stirring for 1-3 hours, filtering, and drying to obtain a surface roughened graphene-and-rare earth nitrate mixture (C), (v) adding surface roughened graphene-and-rare earth nitrate mixture (C) to a flask in a ratio of 100:3-100:5, refluxively condensing for 20-28 hours, filtering, and drying.
