NOVELTY - A multifunctional separator comprises a separator material and a lanthanum-based double-metal oxide modifier material coated on the separator material. USE - Multifunctional separator used for lithium-sulfur battery (claimed) in electric automobile, unmanned airplane and portable electronic device. ADVANTAGE - The multifunctional separator adsorbs polysulfide through chemical anchoring, inhibits the shuttle of polysulfide, and improves the redox reaction kinetics of lithium-sulfur batteries through its excellent electrical conductivity and catalytic performance.
