▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Method for mediating macroscopic foam evaporation surface deposition based on a coffee ring effect involves using polyvinyl alcohol as a medium and hydrophilic foam as a substrate, evaporating the medium solution and depositing on the surface of the substrate, where the content of polyvinyl alcohol in the medium solution is ≮ 0.16 wt.%. USE - The method is useful for mediating macroscopic foam evaporation surface deposition based on a coffee ring effect which is used for producing modified foam material used in biosensing, fluid mass transfer, and environmental restoration (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method cleverly amplifies and utilizes the coffee ring effect, and proposes a simple and reproducible polyvinyl alcohol-mediated evaporative drying strategy to achieve selective foam surface deposition, improves the assembly of nanomaterials from the microscopic and low-dimensional level to the macroscopic three-dimensional level. A series of three-dimensional shell-core structured foams prepared by the above-mentioned method have great application prospects in the development of nanomaterials, biosensing, fluid mass transfer, and environmental restoration. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a modified foam material obtained by the method.
