NOVELTY - Preparing densified zirconium boride-silicon carbide composite ceramic comprises using zirconium diboride powder, titanium carbide powder, sintering auxiliary agent, zirconium source, boron carbide and C source according to mass ratio of (30-75): (5-45): (0-5): (0-30): (10 -35): (5-25). USE - The composite ceramic is useful in fields of aerospace high temperature resistant materials, wear resistant materials, cutting tools, thermocouple protection tubes and electrode materials. ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple and economical; has low equipment requirements; and is convenient for mass production. The composite ceramic: has high density, high temperature oxidation resistance, high hardness, corrosion resistance, good thermal shock resistance, and low electrical resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the densified zirconium boride-silicon carbide composite ceramic comprising mixing raw materials with binder and a liquid medium to form a slurry; the mass ratio of the raw material, binder and liquid medium is 100: (15-25): (100-180).
