NOVELTY - Preparation of silicon carbide ceramic gas gel comprises carrying out carbon thermal reduction reaction on an oxidized graphene aerogel and a silicon source under an inert atmosphere to obtain a product, where the silicon source is used to provide silicon monoxide gas at a carbon thermal reducing reaction temperature. USE - Silicon carbide ceramic gas gel preparing method. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, safe and efficient. The prepared three-dimensional porous sheet-shaped silicon carbide ceramic gas gel material has high porosity, large specific surface area, high thermal stability, can be used as a potential wave-absorbing material and excellent heat-insulating material.
