▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Graphene nano-platelet (GNP)/PET nanocomposite is produced by mixing 2 wt.% GNP with PET polymer material to obtain mixture, where percentage weight of GNP is measured in relation to weight of amount of PET polymer material selected to be utilized as a polymer base material for the nanocomposite; drying mixture obtained in an oven at 70 degrees C; adding phenol/1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane solvent to composite in a 1:1 ratio with respect to mass of mixture to obtain a solution; stirring solution comprising the solvent, polymer, and 2 wt.% GNP at a speed of 250 rpm to obtain a homogeneous mixture; dispensing homogeneous mixture to a casting mold; and allowing solvent within the mixture disposed in the mold to evaporate to produce GNP/PET nanocomposite film. USE - Production of graphene nano-platelet (GNP)/PET nanocomposite for use in packaging of articles that include food and beverage products (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The GNP/PET nanocomposite exhibits an improved gas barrier characteristic over neat PET and good mechanical strength, and its manufacturing method is cost effective.
