NOVELTY - Nanocomposite comprises 0.1-10 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 0.1 to 10 pts. wt. ethylenic-containing silane coupling agent, 0.05-3 pts. wt. emulsifier, 100 pts. wt. poly(phenylene oxide), 5-50 pts. wt. styrene, 0.05 to 3 pts. wt. initiator, 0.01-100 pts. wt. reducing agent and 0.05-2 pts. wt. antioxidant. The antioxidant is pentaerythritol tetrakis ( beta - (3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate) (Irganox (RTM: not defined) 1010), N, N'- (4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl) propionate (i.e., Irganox 1098), beta -(4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl) propionate, i.e. (Irganox 1076). USE - Nanocomposite. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Nanocomposite comprises 0.1-10 pts. wt. graphene oxide, 0.1 to 10 pts. wt. ethylenic-containing silane coupling agent, 0.05-3 pts. wt. emulsifier, 100 pts. wt. poly(phenylene oxide), 5-50 pts. wt. styrene, 0.05 to 3 pts. wt. initiator, 0.01-100 pts. wt. reducing agent and 0.05-2 pts. wt. antioxidant. The reducing agent is hydrazine hydrate, sodium borohydride, vitamin C, sodium citrate, n-butylamine, isopropanol, benzyl alcohol, hydroquinone. The ethylenic bond-containing silane coupling agent is vinyltriethoxysilane, vinyl-tris ( beta - methoxyethoxy) silane, and gamma -methacrylic acid propyltrimethoxysilane. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing nanocomposite, which involves: (A) preparing polystyrene / graphene nanocomposite powder by dispersing 0.1 to 10 pts. wt. oxidized graphene in 100 to 1000 pts. wt. deionized water; (B) adding 0.1-10 pts. wt. ethylenic silane coupling agent and stirring at room temperature; (C) adopting ultrasonic dispersion for 10-200min, ultrasonic power 100-5000 W, frequency 10000-100000 HZ at 40-100 degrees C; (D) adding 0.05 to 3 pts. wt. emulsifier at 40 to 90 degrees C; (E) stirring and dissolving, then adding 5-50 pts. wt. styrene, deaerating with nitrogen for 30 minutes, fully emulsifying; (F) adding 0.05 to 3 pts. wt. initiator and stirring for 4 to 8 hours; (G) filtering product, washing with distilled water, dying at 90 degrees C for 8 hours to constant weight, crushing to obtain polystyrene / graphene nanocomposite powder; (H) mixing PPO / graphene nanocomposite with 100 pts. wt. PPO with 0.05-2 pts. wt. antioxidant, 5-50 pts. wt. polystyrene / graphene nanocomposite powder and mixing them with high-speed mixer; and (I) extruding and granulating at screw speed of 50-200 rpm, and the temperature of the barrel is 270-340 degrees C and obtaining PPO / graphene nanocomposite.
