NOVELTY - Composite nuclear fuel, comprises a high uranium density fuel dispersed in uranium oxide matrix, where the surface of the high uranium density fuel is provided with a buffer layer. USE - Used as composite nuclear fuel. ADVANTAGE - The composite nuclear fuel can prevent the uranium oxide matrix from cracking and expanding to high uranium density fuel in service. The surface of the buffer layer is coated with a metal layer, the metal layer further improves the heat conduction of the core block.
