NOVELTY - Preparation of surface-modified titanium dioxide-containing organic graphene nanotubes involves heating carboxyl group-introduced hexabenzophenolate compound, dissolving in organic solvent under ultrasonic heating, self-assembling, forming ester-based nanotube structure (A-GNT), adding potassium hydroxide, stirring, centrifuging, exchanging methanol with absolute ethanol, obtaining surface hydroxylated A-GNTs, stirring surface-hydroxylated A-GNTs and titanium tetraisopropoxide, centrifuging, collecting solid, eluting and dispersing into water after water exchange. USE - Preparation of surface-modified titanium dioxide-containing organic graphene nanotubes used as functional graphene material for photoelectric material and solar cell material for photocatalytic reaction (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of surface-modified titanium dioxide-containing organic graphene nanotubes involves reacting triethylene glycol, pyridine and tosylchloride, obtaining 2-(2-propoxytosyl)ethanol of formula (II), adding bromobiphenol to compound (II), reacting in presence of potassium carbonate, obtaining 2-(2-(2-((4'-bromo-1,1'-biphenyl-4-yl)oxy)ethoxy)ethoxy)ethanol of formula (III), adding acetic anhydride to obtained compound, obtaining 2-(2-(2-((4'-bromo-1,1'-biphenyl-4-yl)oxy)ethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl acetate of formula (IV), adding trimethylsilylacetylene, bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II)dichloride and copper iodide to compound (IV), obtaining compound of formula (V), adding cyclopentadienone-type compound of formula (VI) to obtained compound (V), reacting in presence of diphenyl ether, obtaining compound of formula (VII), adding nitromethane to compound (VII), reacting in presence of ferric chloride, obtaining carboxyl group-introduced hexabenzophenolate compound (A), heating obtained compound (A), dissolving in an organic solvent under ultrasonic heating, self-assembling, forming inner and outer surfaces of A-GNT, adding potassium hydroxide, stirring, centrifuging to retain the solid, exchanging methanol with absolute ethanol, obtaining surface hydroxylated A-GNTs, such that the mass-volume ratio of A-GNT and potassium hydroxide/methanol solution is 0.2-0.3 g:1 mL, stirring surface-hydroxylated A-GNTs and titanium tetraisopropoxide, centrifuging, collecting solid, eluting with absolute ethanol, and dispersing into water after water exchange. The molar ratio of A-GNT and titanium tetraisopropoxide is 1:1.2-1.5.
