▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Matrix-encapsulated cell comprises encapsulating polymer matrix comprising a biopolymer and graphene, and one or more of the cells encapsulated within the encapsulating polymer, where the graphene directly contacts some of the cells, where the matrix encapsulating the one or more cells is electrically conductive. USE - Matrix-encapsulated cell. ADVANTAGE - The matrix-encapsulated cell has good biocompatibility, biodegradability and low toxicity, and has capacity for polymerization within mild conditions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method of using the matrix-encapsulated cell, which involves detecting electrical signals from or sending electrical signals to the one or more cells through the encapsulating polymer matrix; (2) a fiber, which comprises encapsulating polymer matrix comprising a biopolymer and graphene, and one or more cells encapsulated within the encapsulating polymer, where the graphene directly contacts some of the cells, where the matrix encapsulating the one or more cells is electrically conductive; and (3) a method for making a matrix-encapsulated cell, which involves polymerizing a pre-polymer solution to form the matrix-encapsulated cell, the pre-polymer solution comprising one or more cells, graphene, and a precursor for a biopolymer, where the matrix-encapsulated cell comprises an encapsulating polymer matrix comprising the biopolymer and the graphene, and the one or more of the cells encapsulated within the encapsulating polymer, where the graphene directly contacts some of the cells, where the matrix encapsulating the one or more cells is electrically conductive.
