NOVELTY - A functionalized reduced graphene oxide-modified phenol resin is obtained by modifying phenolic resin with filler comprising functionalized silica-reduced graphene oxide. The functionalized reduced graphene oxide-modified phenol resin comprises 100 pts. wt. phenolic resin and 0.5-1 pt. wt. functionalized silica-reduced graphene oxide. USE - Functionalized reduced graphene oxide-modified phenol resin (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The functionalized reduced graphene oxide-modified phenol resin has excellent heat resistance. The product containing the functionalized reduced graphene oxide-modified phenol resin has excellent mechanical property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of functionalized reduced graphene oxide-modified phenol resin, which involves weighing functionalized reduced graphene oxide powder, adding 10-50 mg/mL ethanol to functionalized reduced graphene oxide powder, dispersing mixture and ultrasonically processing mixture for 30 minutes to obtain ethanol solution of functionalized reduced graphene oxide powder, mixing ethanol solution of functionalized reduced graphene oxide powder and phenolic resin at 600-1000 rpm, magnetically stirring mixture for 20-30 minutes, ultrasonically dispersing mixture for 20-40 minutes, magnetically stirring mixture at 1000-1500 rpm for 40-50 minutes, stirring mixture, maintaining system temperature to 20-30 degrees C to obtain mixture, vacuum degassing and vacuum treating mixture at 0.01 MPa for 10-20 minutes, curing slurry in mold at 120 degrees C for 2 hours, heating mixture at 150 degrees C for 2 hours, and further heating mixture at 170 degrees C for 1 hour.
