NOVELTY - The electrical component in a form of supercapacitor (36) has inkjet-printed electrode (38) on a flexible substrate, and includes overlapping dot-like structures which include graphene flakes. The electrode includes particles of an electrically-conductive material other than said graphene flakes. The particles contribute additional capacitance to electrode, and include nanoparticles of metal oxides. USE - Electrical component such as electronic double-layer capacitor. ADVANTAGE - Ensures the spacing and the thickness of the printed structure can be controlled by the number of printed layers so that properties of the thin graphene film can be tailored for different purposes by varying the degree of overlap. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows the schematic diagram of a conceptual design for a supercapacitor having inkjet-printed graphene electrodes.
