NOVELTY - Graphene/chlorinated polypropylene modified melamine foam oil absorbing material, where the chlorinated polypropylene is coated on the surface of the graphene nanosheet and adsorbing on the melamine foam skeleton together with the graphene nanosheet to obtain micro and/or nano-scale protrusions and the moisture contact angle of the modified melamine foam oil absorbing material is more than 140 degree. USE - Used as graphene/chlorinated polypropylene modified melamine foam oil absorbing material. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the hydrophobic and lipophilicity of the modified foam, improves degree and toughness and enhances tensile strength and is simple. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the graphene/chlorinated polypropylene modified melamine foam oil absorbing material, comprising (i) preparing a chlorinated polypropylene solution by dissolving chlorinated polypropylene in toluene or xylene at room temperature, (ii) adding graphene nanosheets to the chlorinated polypropylene solution in step (i) and obtaining the stabilized dispersion of graphene/chlorinated polypropylene dispersion by ultrasonic dispersion and (iii) immersing the melamine foam in the dispersion obtained in the step (ii), dispersing by ultrasonic waves for 15-60 minutes, taking out the melamine foam and drying.
