NOVELTY - The production method of calcium alginate graphene nano gold composite hydrogel catalyst involves mixing sodium alginate with distilled or deionized water, formulating aqueous solution of sodium alginate, adding graphene solution, ultrasonically dispersing, adding chloroauric acid solution, ultrasonically dispersing, obtaining homogeneous dispersion, heating, obtaining alginate-graphene-nano-gold complex liquid, adding 3-5% aqueous solution of calcium chloride as crosslinking agent, carrying out crosslinking reaction, filtering and washing with distilled water. USE - Production of calcium alginate graphene nano gold composite hydrogel catalyst used for sodium borohydride catalytic degradation of methylene blue and methyl orange (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables production of calcium alginate graphene nano gold composite hydrogel catalyst with high quality and increased shelf life by simple and environmentally-friendly process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The production method of calcium alginate graphene nano gold composite hydrogel catalyst involves mixing sodium alginate with distilled or deionized water, formulating 0.5-2% aqueous solution of sodium alginate, adding 10-100 g/l graphene solution, ultrasonically dispersing, adding 0.1 mol/l chloroauric acid solution, ultrasonically dispersing for 60-120 minutes, obtaining homogeneous dispersion, heating at 60-120 degrees C for 30-180 minutes, obtaining alginate-graphene-nano-gold complex liquid, adding 3-5% aqueous solution of calcium chloride as crosslinking agent, carrying out crosslinking reaction, filtering and washing with distilled water. The aqueous solution comprises sodium alginate, chloroauric acid solution and graphene solution at volume ratio of (20-100):1:1.
