NOVELTY - Solid state battery (20) comprises a first electrode having a thickness of 100-3000 mu m and having multiple first electroactive solid particles; a second electrode having a thickness of 100-3000 mu m and having multiple second electroactive solid particles, where the multiple second electroactive solid particles are embedded on or disposed within a porous material; and a solid electrolyte layer (26) arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The porous material is metal foam including aluminum foam, nickel foam, copper foam, nickel-chromium foam, nickel-tin foam and/or titanium foam. The porous material is three-dimensional carbon nanofiber foam, graphene foam, carbon fabric, carbon nanotubes embedded in carbon fibers, or graphene-nickel foam. USE - Used as solid state battery.
